The Solanco Fair begins today and I have three pieces entered / on exhibit. The Solanco Fair is a huge agricultural based fair in the Southern End of Lancaster County (Quarryville). While pieces cannot be sold there, I am excited about the exposure.
My first piece is of course a mandala! I know, right, you were all surprised! I do love my mandalas. This particular one is entered in the “pen and ink” class. I’m always asked by people if I do these by hand. How else, I think, would I do them! Yes, my mandalas are all done by hand (that is, no computer) and take several hours, sometimes days.
The second piece is a watercolor – my sunflower. This piece was done as a commissioned piece as a cover of a program.
Finally, my skulls. This was a school assignment awhile back and I just had fun with it. These get carried around with me often.
The Fair runs today (Wednesday) through Friday so if you are in the Lancaster area, stop on down the Fair and check it out!
